Entry: Debunking the DaVinci Code pt. 1 Wednesday, August 24, 2005

As laughable and outright sad as it is, far too many people have taken the Da Vinci Code as fact, not the fiction that it truly is.  What you'll find here is part one of a fact vs. fiction breakdown of the DaVinci Code written by my good friend and brother in Christ, Frank.  I hope you find it as interesting and informative as I did and will return for part two.

I just found a copy of Da Vinci code at one of our laundry buildings. (people leave stuff to read)

I haven't had time to read it yet, though. I didn't know that *anyone* actually had any thought that it was nothing more than interesting fiction that is just based upon a religuous topic.

I mean, the frackin' Exorcist films are based upon religious topics, too. But, I hope I get a chance to read the Da Vinci Code book before the inevitable movie adaption comes out. Leonardo Da Vinci, the man himself, is an historic topic that interests me.

Yea, there are many ppl that think the Da Vinci Code is based on fact and has been "expertly" researched when in fact, Dan Brown is merely an excellent writer (should be, his speciality is English after all).

I thought it was an entertaining book, and I am interested in seeing the movie. However, I understand that it is purely entertainment, sort of like "National Treasure." I will go take a look at that list, though. :)
